April 27, 2005, Meeting Notes
Noon, Hazel’s Kitchen at Reiman Gardens
Agenda in regular type, notes italics.
Introductions: Chuck Jons, Connie Middleton, Cate Clark, Denise Rupp, Mary Wilkins, Lynette Spicer, Diane Nelson,
Shelly Dilks, Lisa Harmison
Where we are now
- Stored items at Reiman Gardens located and all seems there
- Posters and Flyers going out
- Letters mailed
- Table of information, sign up at Reiman Gardens Volunteer Party, May 5
- Info for Front Desk - Denise Rupp
- Produce Time Line from Diane Nelson, on website
- Status of Recipes
Nick Howell knows where the boxes of stored items are. We will need a new meter for lobby display. Denise Rupp has
notebook at the front desk for receptionists if someone calls or stops in at the Gardens with a PARH question or to
volunteer. We had few ‘hits’ from the Volunteer Party on May 5. We made a wish list for that evening. We will have some
simple Spanish translations of the recipes/tips sheets. We’ll try to have copies ready before and during the collection of
the produce. Be sure volunteers get donators to identify herbs and label them. We will send a report to the Garden Writers
Assocation at the end of the season.
What’s Next
- Sign up sheets redesign?
- Guidelines for Monday and Saturday redesign?
- Anything else from Bethesda or MICA?
Little redesign of the sign up sheets is needed. The duties will be revised.
